Jiang Hua Xiang Dancong (Ginger Flower Aroma)
Oolong tea leaves
Provenance: Feng Huang Shan (Phoenix Mountain), Chao Zhou, Guang Dong province, China
This is a beautiful example of a Dancong, tea picked from a single bush, Hua Xiang refers to a 'flower aroma' with this being of ginger flower fragrance.
This is a tea that proves very popular with the locals and is definitely one of our favourites too. Jiang Hua Xiang is an alluring tea that has the right balance of sophistication that delivers taste to your palate.
Delicate ginger floral notes balanced by hints of salty umami with a pleasant creamy mouthfeel, which leads to a mellow char and subtle magnolia in later brews.
